the inherited technique of the kugisaki clan, it was developed during the heian jidai ( 平安時代; 794-1145 ) by a long revered ancestress. mid to long ranged, it makes use of a toolset featuring a hammer, nails, & traditionally hand-crafted wara ningyō ( 藁人形; straw dolls ). cursed energy imbued into the nails by the user allows for them to levitate & be used as projectiles by the hammer's hit, while wara ningyō are used as proxies.

having survived its incident, nobara is among one of many jujutsu sorcerer survivors of a slowly rebuilding jujutsu society, undergoing serious treatment & counseling for PTSD acquired. put out of commission temporarily by the special-grade cursed spirit mahito, she was taken away from the battlefield by nitta arata & kept alive by his cursed technique until she could undergo further treatment under the capable hands of tōkyō jujutsu tech’s ieiri shokō. she wakes up & rejoins the battle just in time to declare herself a player in the culling games. furthermore, she played a crucial part in the final battle between ryōmen sukuna, whereby she utilized resonance on his final finger.
